Heritage Recordings

You can, and I would encourage people to do so.  There are a few major differences in recording it yourself as opposed to working with Heritage Recordings.  The primary difference will be the audio quality of the recording.  Why is this so important?  The human voice is an extremely rich instrument, in timber, tone and inflection.  The proper capture of these aspects of the voice will make an astounding difference when played back.  These nuances in a person's voice are the first sounds that we identify as a baby.  They are also very instrumental in capturing a peice of the character of the person.

You will recieve the CDs by mail within one week of the recording session.  This allows time to apply mastering to the audio tracks.  This process of equalization and mastering is part of what makes the recording of such high quality.  It insures that when played back, the nuances and timber of the voice will be well pronounced in the recording.

Additional CDs of the recording can be ordered at any time for $7 per copy.  Heritage Recordings archives all recordings, so that anytime in the future, additional copies of the original recording will be available.  Simply contact Heritage Recordings to arrange for additional copies to be created and mailed directly to you.

Heritage Recordings operates on a flexible schedule as to provide ample opportunity for coordinating the recording.  Additionally, this is a mobile service, meaning that we can come to you.  This allows for a more comfortable atmosphere for the participants.  Simply contact Heritage Recordings to schedule an appointment or ask any questions regarding availability.

Transportation costs are simply the cost associated with operating a mobile service.  The cost is based on the proximity from Dublin, Oh.  where Heritage Recordings home office is located.  There is a listing of this cost on the Services Page.  If you have a group of friends and family that are interested in our service, and they live in close proximity of each other, a singular transportation can be applied.  Please feel free to contact Heritage Recordings with any questions regarding transportation costs and applicable discounts.
